Dovetail Drafting has designed over 900 New Homes, Home Extensions, Industrial & Commercial developments, Unit Developments, Subdivisions, Churches, Aged Care Living, Disabled Access Design, and Private Hospitals. Our more eccentric projects include Microhomes and underground bunkers.
It is your choice when it comes to $pend. We provide written quotes based on project value, or we can provide an hourly design rate dependent on the project.
Our professional approach to your project will show you that our staff and consultants have extensive experience in the building industry.
Our staff are highly computer literate, and all drawings are produced on AutoCAD with millimetre accuracy. Senior staff run rigorous checklists on all drawings and oversee the production of each drawing. Mediocrity, such as “drawing lines because it looks right” is not acceped. Our draftspeople draw the exact specified component of the building, or not at all.
Paul established Dovetail Drafting Services on July 1st, 1998. Like many small businesses, we started from a small home office, before moving to professional premises in Malaga in 1999.
In October 2006, Dovetail moved to their new premises in the Joondalup CBD. The business began to grow into a team of draftspeople and administrators. In September 2012 we included Civil and Mining Drafting and Project Management to our services. In May 2017 we expanded into the Sydney market - Paul ran a design team of up to 15 engineers and draftspeople.
Despite Covid-19 lockdowns, Dovetail Drafting has successfully operated remotely since March 2020 and continues to improve on this business model.
We are happy to send you a quote based on your design brief. We will need hand sketches, and if a renovation or extension is required, we will require existing plans.
We do not proceed until a quote has been accepted by you if the project is fixed price.
